Have you been receiving nonstop pre-Christmas sales from emails and texts? Do you feel you are being hunted? Are you in a rush for Christmas? Goodness, by the time December rolls around the retails stores will have nothing available fresh to intrigue us to buy. I love Christmas but I want to enjoy the season when it is the Christmas season.
It’s still Autumn! Trees and shrubs are showing their beauty through the color of leaves. Those same leaves are gently falling to the ground awaiting to be raked into piles. Children are excited with anticipation to jump into them. Bright colors of orange, yellow, red and green is a breathtaking view of splendor. Warm smells of apples, pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves from bake goods in our kitchens keep us warm from the brisk chill outside. Preparing a table of bountiful foods surrounded by friends and family should be our forethought. Giving thanks for the many blessings we have received during the year should be spoken aloud. This wonderful season should be enjoyed and relished.
