I love candy corn! Of course, I am very particular who the candy maker is when I purchase my candy corn, pumpkins and autumn mix. Have you ever mixed candy corn with cocktail peanuts and display the mixture in a glass pumpkin jar? It makes a beautiful display and it is soooo good! In the spirit of the fall season and my love for candy corn, I thought it would be fun to make Candy Corn hats. They come in infant, toddler and children sizes. They are made with soft and warm yarn. As a short time offer, Nesting By Robin is selling this new item at a 50% discount, $10 each. Normal value $20. Nesting By Robin, let us help you celebrate the season!

County and State Fairs are in full swing here in the south. Pumpkin patches are beginning to open for the public to enjoy the country air, go for hayrides, walk through the corn maze, peruse the farmer’s market for some homemade jams and produce, and pick out that perfect pumpkin to display on the front porch. Nursery’s are busy selling potted mums, flower bulbs, and yard supplies. Small school and church carnivals are popping up to help raise money for various activities and ministries. And many of us are beginning to rake leaves, clean out flower beds and prepare the yard for that long winter’s rest. There is definitely a lot of family fun to see and experience together.
This past week I have seen the front of homes being decorated for the autumn season. There are bales of hay, scarecrows and potted mums being displayed in a variety of design and themes. I suspect this weekend many more homes will pop up with Halloween decorations being added to their fall theme. In the background, trees and bushes are adding their colorful flair to turn this season into a beautiful work of art.
We’re no different than anyone else getting ready for the fall holidays and Old Man Winter. Decorations are being made and displayed for the inside and outside of our home. Let us help you with all of your decorating needs. Nesting By Robin has a large variety of different themes and products to showcase your home for this bright, colorful, and fun season.

Last week was a pack-filled week for me. Busy with grandchildren, PTA, volunteering for Bicycle Rodeo, working on orders and getting them ready to be shipped. It was fun, hectic and at times chaotic and frustrating. Many plans were placed on hold.
Today is repairing boo-boo’s. My youngest granddaughter showed me that her precious ni-night had a boo-boo. She is napping and I have pulled out the yarn and crochet hook to begin hooking the unraveled loops back together. While crocheting I recall her sweet cherub face looking at me with hopeful anticipation that I could fix her wounded blanket. Life is like that. Schedules unravel and we either look for someone to help us repair it or we depend on ourselves for the same resolution. My well planned scheduled unraveled last week and in my mind I didn’t get a thing done. Of course, that thought is a lie. I just didn’t accomplish what I thought should be done. But what was accomplished was meant to be done.
Today is Monday and I am in the process of repairing and restoring my schedule just like this blanket for my granddaughter. What a great way to start the week. Happy Monday! ~ Robin

Many of us who have school age children believe summer has ended. In reality, summer officially doesn’t end until September 21st. September is a fascinating month. It is the Harvest season. County and State fairs and bazaars are in full speed. The aromas, entertainment and the many booths of individuals selling their produce and wares. It is a great season of celebration and preparation for the coming months of winter.
One way of warming up those evenings that are beginning to cool and grow dark sooner, is to add lights to your Fall wreath. It adds just a little soft brightness that makes things cozy in your favorite room of your house.
Special: Order a Fall wreath and I will add lights at no extra cost. Just a way of saying “thank you”. ~ Robin
